I am a huge fan of the (sadly) deceased Leslie Cheung. I also watch everything Tony Leung Chiu-Wai is in, as well as Michelle Yeoh and the incomparably beautiful Maggie Cheung and the now-retired Brigitte Lin.

I was actually aiming for Hong Kong stars and not stars that work mostly on the mainland (though many cross over) or Japanses stars, but thanks everyone for your answers!

All of the above! Especially Jackie Chan, no conversation about Chinese films can take place without some obsessive like me saying "Jackie Chan is like a kind of God and we should worship him as such!".
On Jet Li's official website he says that him and Jackie will make a film together as soon as they find a good script that they can share. That would be the coolest film ever made!!!!

If I can give you my favourite CHinese stars would be better, i like Zihi-Yang from memoirs of a Gesiha, Luicy Lui and Michelle Yu. These 3 Chinese actresses are great ones, and are role-models to young Chinese actresses. I really like their talents!

I like all that you listed above but was suprised to see
Faye Wong Fei , Gong Li, Jackie Chan, Stephen Chow, and Jet,Li, missing from your list. I can not get enough of Asian movies ..

Hands down Donnie yen.ive seen so many chinese movies ...in china 2yrs....not dubbed english.seen them all.donnie is exceptional.i am a long time practicing martial artist now practicing with a wing chun teacher with schools thru out the world
