In the Spider-man 3 teaser trailer, Peter is falling and trying to grab a ring. What is that supposed to mean?

It's clear from the picture that this is an engagement ring. For whom? Who else, tiger? Mary Jane.
I think it means he doesn't want to lose the ring because well if it goes by comics he will be proposing to her.

No, but my parents just got back from New York and got to watch them film the part where the mayor gives Spiderman the key to the city. Thomas Hayden Church has said he will be playing the Sandman and there will also be a Venom in the movie. Interesting note-all the cast trailers are labeled as "desi" and "Lucy" and so forth to avoid the public knowing whose trailer is whose.
