The capital of the Confederate States of America was Montgomery, Alabama from February 4, 1861 until May 29, 1861. Richmond, Virginia was named the new capital on May 6, 1861.

Perhaps you should do your own homework. I believe it was Atlanta, I could be wrong though, so don't qoute me on it. It was QUITE a while ago that I lived in the south and learned about such things.
