Ok so you know that your body can achieve the weight you were before and you were happy with that. Its not easy starting to diet. I would advise joining weight watchers, they are friendly, meet friends and help you pick out a good diet, keep more of a discipline, you can stop going once you have come into a routine.
Like everyone above says - its fruits, water, veggies that should be in your diet, cut out sugar, bread, pasta, rice. Start with gentle walking 3 times week, then build up on it. Heard that dandelion tea curbs bloating, and green tea, stops u feeling hungry. Crunchies for tummy is always good. Aim to do 20 before going to bed, or waking up. Then build up on it. Try it, its possible. Small steps to a achieve, something that is possible

Exercise is very important. I am a trainer in a fitness gym, and many obese people have joined us, and became trimmer and fitter. Of course, there are fitness regimens you have to follow. Check out your local gym , and ask about their programs. You don't have to do any heavy lifting, just run on the treadmill, and lift light weights. Don't worry about the expenses, it will be well worth it. Also eat 4-5 small meals a day (snacks included) rather then 2-3 big ones. It is much healthier, and you maintain your weight more effectively. In addition, make the afternoon meal your main meal.

My favourite technique is instead of eating 3 big meals a day, eat 7 small ones (about the size of snacks). And don't forget to hit the gym 3 times a week; I've started last month and I got great results!

If you're looking for a diet, look into the Abs diet; I think it's great. But this requires some gym time too, of course.

eat one third of what you normally eat, do allot of mid to fast pace walking each day and drink eight full glasses of water a day the first one in the morning as soon as you wake up to flush the toxins out of your system, if you stick to this believe me you will lose weight plus tone up. Good Luck.
