I believe they have a pretty good chance at a winning record and a bowl game. Remember Brett Schaeffer... the QB for the Vols two years ago... he was kicked out of Tennessee and went to junior college... and now he's transferred to Ole Miss !!! He's electrifying and fun to watch and can be dangerous if he gets enough help.
Six wins will get you to a bowl game, so with that being said here are six opponents on there schedule that the Rebels should beat... Mississippi State, Northwestern State, Vandy, Wake Forest, Kentucky, and Memphis. I just so happen to believe they will go 7-5. If they beat any other team on the schedule such as Bama, Arkansas, Georgia, Auburn or LSU it will be simply extra and considered a pretty big upset. They also play Missouri which I think they are more than capable of beating.
I like their chances, I'm a college football fan in general so I like just about everybody (Except the Miami Hurricanes). I'll be watching to see how the Rebs fair this year.

They will get at least six wins. Could get seven. Eight is out of the question, though. For more info as to why, check out Dun Dun's and Beldin's answers above.
You see, with 28 bowl games, 56 teams get to enjoy the postseason. There are only 119 teams in the NCAA, and Arkansas State isn't allowed to play in the postseason (because they have "Indians" as their mascot, and the NCAA disapproves). With 56 teams getting in, and 62 excluded, I think that Ole Miss has a pretty good shot. They will be in the postseason this year.

If they make a bowl, it'll be barely. Non-conference schedule is actually tough by SEC standards (most SEC teams have joke non-conference slates), conference schedule will be easier than most, as they get to miss Florida, South Carolina, and Tennessee.
Sept. 2 Memphis - toss-up
Sept. 9 at Missouri - probable loss
Sept. 16 at Kentucky - probable win
Sept. 23 Wake Forest - win
Sept. 30 Georgia - loss
Oct. 7 Vanderbilt - win
Oct. 14 at Alabama - loss
Oct. 21 at Arkansas - loss
Oct. 28 Auburn - loss
Nov. 4 Northwestern State - win
Nov. 18 at LSU - loss
Nov. 25 Mississippi State - win
I'd go 6-6 for Ole Miss.

I am a Razorback fan and a S.E.C fan. I have no doubt that Ole Miss can win six games which would get them a bowl bid. Hopefully this year Arkansas or Ole Miss can beat LSU I may be an SEC fan but I hate LSU.

Ole Miss loses to Alabama and hopefully Auburn. Other than that and LSU, Ole Miss should be in Atlanta for the SEC Championship.
