i dont think u have to go all the way to maryland as long as u have parental consent u can get married anywhere..my friend got married at 16 in tennessee with her parents signature ...so im pretty sure as long as they agree its okay....do they agree with u and will they sign? im curious to know.l...good luck!

dont listen to anyone who criticizes u..if u both feel u can handle it then u canpeople in the olden days used to get married so young but now ppl have become so selfish they strike it out....please do what makes your heart happy and u will be happy dont listen to anyone who tries to tell u its so wrong at ur age.

In general, a person under the age of 18 is considered a minor, and is unable to make personal lofe decisions without a parent's consent. Minors generally cannot purchase homes, or cars, set up credit accounts, or savings accounts, and cannot give their consent to engage in sexual activity, or marriage.

In some states, specific priveledges can be granted to minors with the consent of the parents. Marriage is one of these priveledges.

Note that even if you go to maryland to get married, depending on the local laws in Florida, having sex with your new husband might still be considered statutory rape, and could land him in jail as a sex offender if your parents find out, and press charges.

At 16, for some reason known as hormones, it seems like you have to do everything immediately, but when you get to be a little older, you will see that this is not the case. Ten years from now, having waited until you were eighteen will not be that big a deal, but getting married at the young age of 16 will always be a big deal, and may turn out to be a decision that you could regret for the rest of your life.

Are you really sure this is the right thing for you to be doing? It's a big decision, and it's not for everyone. I know I wanted to when I was that age, but now I'm really glad I didn't.

Ask my husband's sorry *ss whore ex. She got knocked up at 15 and went over state lines and married at 16. Now that she is almost 30 she is trying as hard as she can to be young and wild. Don't do it!! You will end up resenting it when you get older. Be young. You have all the time in the world for marriage and kids and all that stuff. Go to the prom, graduate, go on senior/graduation trips.....Be a young and crazy kid. I had the best high school life and I would not trade those memories for anything. I had a serious relationship with one guy all the way through high school, but I still had fun. You will regret it if you do it. You are only young once and enjoy it to the fullest. You can not go back on relive those days and you should not trade them for anything...even love. Please don't do it, you will regret it when you are older.

i got married at 17, was engaged at 16. ive been married for 2 years this month. speaking from experience i feel i am missing out on a lot, but i honestly love him more than anything and wouldnt change it. now obviously youll do whatever the heck you want to and whatever i say wont change that. but seriously think about the life you will have after you marry him. meaning will you still be living with family, will you still be going to school, will it last. i had to have at least one parent sign the marriage licsense in order for us to get married. I was in MI and got married by a judge. definetly nothing expensive and fancy when you are that young. hope everything works out for the best.

New Hampshire: a lady between the age of 13 and 17 years and a male between the age of 14 and 17 years will be married in person-friendly words with the permission of their ascertain (dad or mum) and a waiver. a lady lower than the age of 13 and a male lower than the age of 14 aren't any more allowed to marry lower than any circumstances. If both events are nonresidents of NH and are lower than the age of 18 they couldn't be married in NH lower than any circumstances. you want parental permission and a waiver.

Marriage aint all it's cracked up to be. Just look at Goldie Hawn/Kirt Russel.....Susan Serandon/Tim Robbins. They've been together for umpteen years. I've been married & divorced. I would not get married again. It's way more complicated than u think. Get married when your of the age that u want to have kids. That is the only reason I think being married might be of importance.

You need to consider this carefully. I was the same way, and was engaged twice before I was 18. I am now married at 24 for two years. Take this seriously. You dont want to be divorced with two kids at a young age. Believe me you want to have fun and date untill at least 25. I know you wont listen to anyone, but try to, ok.

I am sure you can with parental consent. You do not want to get married at 16 though. It would be a huge mistake. You are still a kid be a kid get married when you are like 30 or something trust me it just isn't worth it

You can't get married in Maryland if you are 16. You can get married at 16 if you have any sense at all. Why on earth would a 16 year old want to get married? Don't you have any pride in yourself and want to make something of yourself?
