mighty suspicious! He's hiding something..could be another family, woman or boyfriend.

I agree, he more than likely has two lives. Unless and I am not trying to be cruel, he is just trying to get you to back off.
Or I guess on the lighter side, he could be being secretive if he is the next contestant to go into the Big Brother House.
Or as a long odds outsider, he has a side he simply can not discuss. You know its not just in films, there are secret agent types who just have to be 007 secretive.
Who at the moment can say.

He has another life he doesn't want the partner to know about. The threat to walk away is to prevent her from investigating.

It means he has a wife & kids somewhere else.
It also means that you do not need him in your life anymore.
It means he has no respect for you or your kids.
You will be better off without him.
Find someone who will cherish you & the kids.
You do not deserve to be treated like this.
