Does this song, which just so happens to be the BEST SONG EVER, have Satanic messages in it if played backwards? I know Plant denies it, but Page was supposedly involved with the occult? What does the backmasking say, and if you can't answer that, are there Satanic messages?

P.S.- My interpretation of the song is that the Stairway to Heaven is MUSIC, and the other world that music can immerse you into.

Well On the line if you have a record player" It says "Yes there are 2 paths you can go by but in the long run, there's still time to change the road your on" Play it back wards and you hear a garbled "my sweet Satan. Ive done it myself, but i know it was unintentional. You can hear anything you want to if you try hard enough but this was weird. But the lyrics are too fitting for the song. Take it easy mon

Always liked the song. Don't know about backward masking on it. Jimmy page was supposedly into satanic practices. Lucifer( his name before he fell) was the chief musician in heaven. Don't know the scripture off the top of my head. However, the song from Queen "Another One Bites The Dust" is backward masked. It says, plain as day, it's fun to smoke marijuana. I heard it with my own two ears or I would not say it. We played it backwards on a turntable and lo and behold it was true. You cannot PLAY it backwards as there is no reverse on turntables. You have to do it by hand. This is not very good for the record or the needle on the turntable. If you want to know about "Stairway to heaven" this is the way to find out.

Satanic messages? maybe. Publicity? DEFINITELY. I highly doubt that Led Zeppelin, or the beatles(sic) or the eagles or motley crue are truely satanic. All have confirmed "backmasking" on their albums. these are publicity stunts, nothing more. those groups knew those messages would be found, which is why they are placed there. (motley crue even had a "warning" at the bottom of their "shout at the devil" album.) Just a money grab.

There are some places where it says "my sweet Satan" but it's barely audible. I've reversed the MP3. I doubt it was on purpose. I just wonder how someone originally found it.

Now, listen to Queen's "Another One Bites the Dust" and it says "It's fun to smoke marijuana"

I think just about anything played backward sounds goulee. It's just one more thing they are gonna tell you that you can't enjoy. I agree that is good music. I just like to simply listen and enjoy and it hasn't driven me to be satanic yet.

I think this was just an attempt to stop the "BAD" influence of rock on the young. Personally, I don't give a **** even if it does have such messages, the song ROCKS!!!

Just a coincidence. Led Zeppelin is one of the greatest bands ever and they wouldn't do that. Praise Stairway!

There are sources out there that want to keep the myth alive for whatever reasons. Listen to it backwards and draw your own conclusion.

Best Song Ever? You've got to be joking.

Can someone please tell me what this song is about? I've listened to the words and I can't understand the meaning behind this song.
