I dont think so.. because how will you know if you are floating by yourself or just because of the sea's density??
you should learn how to swim in shallow waters, with no waves.. so you can really know when you are floating by yourself

haha, never thought about that before!
well, yes and no. because you'll always float even if you do nothing, you'll have all the time to concentrate on learning the strokes. HOWEVER, you won't learn to swim and stay afloat on the same time, which could be such a shock when you go into water where you don't float so easily, that you could forget all about the strokes and drown anyway! that's a doom senario, i know. but forgetting the strokes is not such an unusual option! keep that in mind!
i could advise learning to swim in undeep water, so that you learn to swim and stay afloat at the same time, yet if you can't, you can just put your legs down and rest and be safe!!

I think if you have no swimming skills....take lessons from a professional swim instructor and you will know that you will be in safe hands. Take a class at a local pool with your friends and have fun and relax! :) You will be able to swim anywhere once you feel comfortable and the Dead Sea has more salt content to make you more buoyant but you could always wear a wet suit in a pool to create more buoyancy and this may make you feel more relaxed while learning to swim?!!!

I wouldn't. It would be too different from regular waters that you would normally swim in. If you are scared that you'll drown, go to a swimming pool with a lifeguard and start in the kiddy section and work your way out towards the deep end.

in theory it would be easy to swim in the dead sea though you might be in more danger when you go to swim in normal water. you'd have a weird perception of how to swim.

Theoretically yes, you will not have the feel of drowning, so you will not be really swimming what will be really happening is that the very salty water will be floating your body.

Rishathra7 is absolutely right that you would have danger swimming in real water. But since, you mentioned THEORITICALLY, yes it's better, but PRACTICALLY no!!
