I got a tattoo yesterday and it is my first one with color, it says you are supposed to wash your tattoo, then apply a little amount of tattoo goo, which I have been doing, but the thing is some of the ink is bubbly and when I pat it with a paper towel you can see little tiny spots of ink on the paper towel. Is that normal?

It is very normal. I have 2, the second one is a week old and is just now peeling off the top copy. I have never heard of tattoo goo, I use Curel, which is not petroleum and non greasy. I hope youre tattoo looks fabulous when the healing is over. It will go from being bubbly and red around the edges to being itchy and scabby. Please don't pick at it, it will take longer to heal. When the top layer comes off your tattoo will be colorful and smooth. Good luck.

Your pulling the ink out of your skin. THose areas will be faded when it heals. STOP padding it for at least a couple of days. But keep the goo on, nice & think. And keep it loosely covered if you can. (Depends where on your body the tat is.) Don't worry too much though, cause you can always go back and have it touched up later.

yeah it is normal, the ink will come out of it for a couple of weeks, I got mine about 2 years ago and it did the exact same thing, no need to worry! But in about 6 months you might need to go get it filled in again. I did and it looks great

Very normal. Just don't put to much ointment on it, just enough to keep it moist and the skin flexible. It may do this for about a week as the extra ink works its way out and the scabs come off. Just don't cover it with anything, let it dry out, or scratch or rub your healing piece of art.

when you wash it you're not supposed to scrub. A lot of the ink will run out, that's normal. It will not pull the ink out UNLESS YOU ARE SCRUBBING AND PICKING. Remember not to use neosporin, that's the wrong type of cream. I used A & D ointment on mine as recommended. If it's on your leg, don't shave your legs around it.

It's fine! After it has healed put pure aloe vera gel on it for a few weeks, it will help smooth any rashing and is good for skin in general!
