I was going to school on day working on my Masters. I dropped the babyoff with my mom and was just coming on to the street before the highway. I stopped at the light about to take a right on red and heard metal hitting metal. I turned in time to see sparks of color flying everywhere. I got out of my car to see if the driver was alright. A man came out of the 7-11 to my left and told the driver he was dragging a body. A 23 year old man was about to cross the street and he was hit by a man asleep at the wheel. Upon impact the car hit a fire hydrant. I was not allowed to go anywhere by the police until the county medical examinar arrived. I couldn't help but look at the ground and see the brains splattered everywhere. I had nightmares for years after that.

Sitting in a van looking around disoriented. Airbags blown open and deflated across the steering wheel and dashboard. Just hit from the rear. Didn't realized it for a minute. Dark night, intersection in the middle of Mississippi Delta. Still dazed, I notice it getting lighter inside the van. I tried to turn out the interior lights but it kept getting lighter inside the van. I never heard it, but as I was trying to get out of the van, an 18-wheeler exploded into my driver's side. I awakened in a white room with a TV on the Discovery Channel. A nice lady asked me if I wanted anything. I didn't know who she was. I didn't know who I was. I knew the Discovery Channel. I couldn't move anything but my right arm. I was in traction. For over a week I was freaked out by all these people coming and talking to me. I simply didn't know who they were. Then it suddenly I knew the nice lady was my mom, and she told me the name of those who'd come to see me, and I knew them. Scariest week and two days I've ever experienced. I still don't really remember anything but the impact of the big truck and nothing at all of the rear end accident. No, I'm not rich, I was the only driver with insurance.

When I was 9 I can remember there being a very bad snow storm and school letting out early. It was snowing really hard and the area of northeast CT I grew up in is very hilly. The school bus was going down a long hill that had no real bottom.. when you were there you started going back up again. Well we started sliding down one side of the hill and on the other side of the hill a State plow truck lost its footing and was sliding down the other side. The blade of the plow stopped within inches of the bus and both vehicles were stuck and people volunteered on snowmobiles to get the kids home. This was way back in 1978.

I live in Chicago and go to school in Greencastle, Indiana. It takes about 2 and a half hours to go to and from. So a bunch of us drove home for a party and after the party (That same night) as we drove back to school in two cars a person just appeared in the middle of the road which caused both vehicles to swerve. We did not hit her but when we looked back after freaking out she was not there. It was always rumored that ghosts are all along the 231 highway and we might have seen one.

I had a heart attack at sixteen. I came to in the hospital with all of these machines attatched to me and didn't really know what had happened. The doctor told me that I'd had a heart attack and I didn't believe him. I kept asking "are you sure you've got the right person?"

Almost got creamed on the expressway by a truck. I hit the ground at just the right time and went under him... luckily he didn't freak out and swerve. If he had, I'm sure his back tires would have turned me into roadkill.
