For most people the two highest motivating factors are money and good looks.

It may sound shallow and of course there are exceptions to the rule but for the most part these two factors are a major part of peoples dreams come true.

I feel that you are correct but it is not always a concious decision.

I think that it is a survival thing as well. When a lady is looking for a possible husband she will want certain things and that goes with out even thinking.

Physical and sexual attraction.

It's normal to want to be secure in your future.

Well, they THINK that is what will make their dreams come true. But we all know rich goodlooking people get dumped and suffer pain as well. People have the common experience of human pain and suffering (in various degrees) and that is a fact none of us (gorgeous or ugly) can escape.

nope, dont agree.

the number one motivator for a lot of people is love! that can be a bigger motivator than every single other motivator put together.

money is a big one though. ...id say for most people it ranks pretty high on their list.

good looks I dont even think would be in my top 10. they used to be when i was younger but it is becoming less and less important.

love i think is the number one motivator for lot of people.

My grandmother and great aunts and many really old-fashioned people in my family used to say "He wouldn't do it for love or money." "Love nor money couldn't get her to..."

It's a very old observation about the motivating power of these things.

Unfortunately, that is true. But, to me it is who the person is on the inside is what makes them. Money is nice to have--but it is material. Looks are a positive asset--but they fade

Sadly, you are correct.... but I ask you, how often have you had a truly interesting conversation with a filthy rich person or a drop-dead gorgeous person?

I can aggree with that. Granted it's not a very romantic concept, but observation provides evidence that it is actually true.
