I did this for a house once. it was kinda fun. you go to the county clerk and they will give you all the records they have up to a ceartin point. then you get to go "downstairs." they have giant hand written ledgers with more detailed information. you can usually get dates stuff happened with the houses for these older dates. the part with the ledgers takes forever since it's not catologued great. but it was fun, i felt like an investagative reporter or something.

HI THERE THE BEST WAY TO FIND HISTORY ON ANYTHING IS TO FIRST ASK AROUND TO ANYBODY WHO HAS LIVED IN YOUR TOWN FOR A WHILE. ALSO CHECK AT YOUR LOCAL LIBRARY FOR SOME HINTS AND CLUES.

they are called assesors, should be in the govt building in your town
