My town decided to have the 4th of July fireworks on the 3rd of July, due to the fact that more ppl would be able to attend with the 4th being a holiday...(which is okay if you work at the post office or bank), anyways..apparently the idiot who thought this up...didnt check the weather the week before. the 3rd had a 80% chance of rain!...10mins into the fireworks...it started to rain HARD and the show was cancelled. are they going to have a "repeat" show on the 4th....since the chance of rain is at 10%..NO they arent. as far as im concerned they ruined a LOT of ppls 4th, since lots of ppl travel to be with family. So have you a village idiot story for this 4th of July???

Yep, how about this one: I was living in Florida at the time and there was a hurricane on the way (no guarantee it would hit us and winds were only like 75-80 mph). This genius behind us decides he's going to cut a couple of trees down so they don't hit his house during the storm. OK, bonehead doesn't know what he's doing, cuts down the tree and hits my 80 year old neighbors house. She's hysterical, of course...then this Einstein decides he's going to continue with the OTHER tree. I went down the road and got a buddy of mine that's was a cop to get him to stop. After the storm passed, the only damage done was by the tree this guy cut down.

The people who planned fireworks for July 3rd are NOT idiots. They do not know what the weather will be when they start planning this- like MONTHS in advance. A lot of planning is needed to produce a fine fireworks display- police, fire, safety, etc. The one they cannot count is the weather. So, unless, they are GOD, they do not know the outcome of the weather.

I am sorry you were sooooo disappointed with the outcome of the fireworks display. Perhaps, had the town you went to for the fireworks had you on their staff, you would have set them straight and everything would have been wonderful! Too bad you weren't there to tell them how to do it correctly.

Your village sounds like a village full of idiots. I feel sorry for the idiot who organised it - no other idiot thought to step in and let him know............
