When someone calls me on a cell, all I get are the phone number and "(insert state) Call" as a screen message.

Sometimes, yes. Caller IDs work with the name that a specific number is assigned to. Some cell numbers, or even home numbers, aren't registerred to a name so it would come up on your ID as some kind of default name. In my house we have about three different ID devices connected to different phones. If someone were to call from a number not registered one ID would read "unknown caller" while another would read "out of area". It really all depends on if te number is registered, not if it's a cell or home phone.

Yes, if you pay the co. for name and address service. But now there are websites that people can subscribe to that put a false name and no. on the caller ID. Am not sure if that works for cell phones though.

Whenever you place a phone call, the phone company (land-line or cellular) can attache a special tag to the incoming call that identifies who you are.
Some cellular providers broadcast nothing (Private Caller), others broadcast "Wireless Caller", and still, others broadcast your full information (name and cell phone number).
If you'd like specific information to show up when you call someone from your cell phone, call your cellular provider and ask them to change your caller id status.

You would have to call the cell phone company and tell them that you want the account in your business name. It may require you to start a business account and remove your personal account. It should be pretty easy though.

Yes. Since my cell phone is in my girlfriend's mom's name, it comes up as her when I call people. Kind of embarrassing. ;)
