an external dual layer +/- writer for the usb 2.0 socket is spretty good ..u just plug it in and use after it updates the drivers for it
if in the UK ..freecom is a good name ..i've have no probs with mine

If you are going to replace one of the cd drives on your computer I'd check TigerDirect. I got a dvd burner for around $35 that included Nero software.

I'm a big dork and there's a lot of people (including me) that have our personal recommendations on products, but I've learned that alot of companies change their stuff and products that they send out in 2005 could be totally different than 2006...
thats why i recommend going to that website i recommended and just spending a little time there... i know it looks busy and overwhelming but these guys know alot more than anyone here.

no...but the tips get one that does both -o and +o. There to diff. type of cd's and some play only well use one.
