I read an article that this was becoming more popular, people wearing necklaces with the ring on it intstead of the ring on the finger. What do you all think of that?

power to them. i think i'd prefer a ring myself as i'd be more prone to loose a necklace but i think that's just fine. i don't think the symbol of your togetherness needs to be anything in particular. just so long as the two of you know it.

I think that is fine if both people agree to it or they have a job in which they cannot wear their rings. I cannot wear rings where I work. I am a Chemical Lab Tech. Everyday I am constantly around chemicals such as Sulfuric Acid, Hydrochloric Acid, Nitric Acid, Ammonium Hydroxide, Phosphoric Acid, Copper Sulfate, Sulfamic Acid so I am always wearing gloves. To be able to properly handle pipettes, flasks, beakers and such the gloves need to be skin tight leaving no room for my rings. If I could wear them on a necklace I would do so but I can't wear necklaces either so I just put my rings on during the weekend or when I'm on vacation.

I wouldn't say that I've noticed or seen wedding rings being popular on necklaces. If someone wants to wear a wedding band on a necklace, then that is their decision. It is a personal decision. I have yet to see that anywhere. Highschool and other rings yes, but not wedding rings.

I would never wear a necklace instead of a wedding ring, it defeats the whole purpose in my opinion. We are girls and we like to show off our rings with the diamond facing right at people!!!

It's a neat idea but part of the point of a ring is let others know you are off the market and a necklace wouldn't accomplish that.

I think the chain could easily break and the ring is lost forever. There is something about tradition that I like about wearing it on your finger.

i wish popularity will exit from the one special day and
the old traditional weddings will continue.
everybody wants to be different, but on that one day, there is
nothing more beautifull than a bride in the traditional white dress, veil etc.... and of course, keep the ring tradition as well
on the hand , pleaasee

I THINK THAT EVERY PERSON THAT GETS MARRIED SHOULD HAVE THE FULL NAME OF THEIR SPOUSE TATOOED ON THEIR FOREHEAD IN 1/16 th IN LETTERS
it would make getting married something people would think a little bit more about before they did it-----be impossible to deny ---and become somewhat more of a challenge to desolve so easily

I THINK THE FINGER IS MORE ORIGINAL BUT IF YOU WHERE THE RING ON A NECKLACE THE RING IS CLOSER TO YOUR HEART
