Ronaldo seems to be a fine name for a baby of any Hispanic or Latin heritage, but if it is an Anglo baby, he might get some teasing from kids as he grows up.

It depends if the name actually suits the baby, and the last name of the baby. I mean, Ronaldo Rodriguez? Yeck.

I think Ronaldo is a fine name for a new baby. It is melodic & rolls off the tongue with strength & dignity.

It's a bad idea! It's so unoriginal! It's like those kids in America called ESPN (God Give Them Strength). You have to think about your child more than the name itself. What if he doesn't grow up to be a football fan? What if he ends up being bad at sports, let alone football?! If he fits into either of those descriptions, he'll hate his name. Think of something else!

I like it. My neighbor named twins Ronaldo and Rolando and I still can't tell them apart.

I don't think so. To me for a boy "Christian" or "Chad" is cute and is a good way of putting in your wish for him to be handsome. Ronaldo is a good name for a dog...a labador for example that is good at fetch.

Millions of soccer fans all over the world including me!!
I'd suggest Ronaldinho or David (Beckham) or Roy (Keane)!
Please let me know what you actually named the baby!!
