Get off your computer and breath.
Sit down and know that everything is going to be fine.
We live in a perfect world and you are part of that perfect world.

First try to breath deeply and slowly. Do you have any friends you can visit or talk to right now? Even your parents? A close person can really help you calm down.
If there is really no one you can turn to, try to think rationally about the situation. What is the worst that can happen, and what will you do if it does? It's often not as bad as you think. I can't tell you anymore than that at the moment because I don't know your sitation, but the important thing to do is to stay calm and rational if you're afraid of hurting yourself.
On the otherhand, if you need to scream, or cry or punch a pillow, those things often help. When you're done try a cup of soothing tea or hot chocolate. Listen to a good song and watch a movie you love.

im sorry i cant answer unless you are a bit more specific.. However you have to relax, treat yourself dont get so stressed. Because whatever seems to be maiking you crazy WILL pass time doesnt freeze up even if it feels like. Time keeps going so soon this will be over. When i had to give a speech i was going nuts then i realized i should relax and do the best i can with it. I kept reminding myself that it willpass in a matter of time and it did. I hope this helps. But do try to relax

Is there a reason or does it just sound like a fun thing to do? (Hey, my mom seems to enjoy having the periodic breakdown but she's a professional drama queen)

Take your vitamins! When we get stressed we deplete our B vitamins, and when our B vitamins get low (especially B-12) we get really agitated and moody and feel like we're going to lose it. Its a vicious circle, but take a couple of multi's at least. The drug store or health food store will have straight B-12 that you put under your tongue.
