High School is better than any other, I thought. It's fun, but be sure to stay on top of your work. If you go in with the attitude of "I'm going to work hard!" the momentum will probably carry through the next four years. Have fun, but be careful. I think the students act less like jerks in High School. That was something I liked also.
At the end of High School, your hard work will pay off. Remember, do your homework!
Good luck. High school was more enjoyable for me than any other school, but college is even better I think.

I can't say that I had a true high school experience, as my high school had just 10, 11, and 12th grades. Ninth grade was in junior high. But anyway, it can be a really great experience. Some advice I should give is to first of all, get involved in activities that you really enjoy. That the best way to make friends and usually kids that are in extra-curricular activities are good kids, not bad kids that will get you into trouble. Depending on where you're going to school is a factor, but overall you are going to see a lot of gossip, drama, and overall bad stuff. Girls can be brutal if you get mixed up with the wrong ones. My advice is to not get into a click. It will most likely lead to hard times. A girl can be your friend one day and you enemy the next. I'm really not kidding. As for guys, many of them are idiots. Just plain idiots. Don't disregard yourself just to impress a particular guy. It's not worth it. In order to have fun in high school, you just have to be yourself and make the right kind of friends. Avoid the drama and be weary of certain people. Maybe you've already made up your mind about this, I don't know, but when it comes to alcohol, drugs, or smoking. Just don't do it. That's it. I know it sounds cliche, but it can get you into serious problems. If you remember everything I've said, you should have a great time in high school. This is your last chance to be a kid. Don't take things too seriously, just enjoy it. But like I said, be careful. Don't have too much fun.

I'm going into 12th grade. High school is what you make it. I did a lot of stupid things my freshman year that I kinda regret now but it's all part of growing up and learning. Freshman year was hard for me. The Sophomore and Junior class were mean. I don't understand why everyone hates freshman. I guess it's because they're the little kids. Junior year has been my favorite so far.

Highschool was fun...outside of the classroom! From my experience, Sophmore year is when you discover real parties. Just be really careful about the people you hang out with and party with. Don't let it consume your highschool experieces. Make sure to keep your grades up. As long as you keep with your education everything else will be a piece of cake. Watch the boys though! They will tell you anything to get in your pants. Just be yourself and remember, if you are not ready for something, don't do it. There will always be other time for certain experiences.

High school can be brutal to some and great for others. It all depends on who you chill with after class. And the way things are taught is different. So you have to learn to adjust. Then there's the dreaded exams.
Good luck being a minor niner. Just expect not to be taken seriously from older greades the first year.

High school is different for everybody. Why do you think there are so many clics? For some it's very lonely. Others, it's fun and exciting. High school, like life, is what you make of it. You can make it pleasant for yourself and others or one long, miserable existance. As for me, high scool was fun. I did well, academically, had some good friends and good times, and tried to be a friend to those that didn't seem to have any.

it's one of the best places to be, get good grades, and keep em up especially in 10th and 11th grade that's the two years you're college looks at. Make sure you prepare for the California Exit Exam in 10th grade. Senior year all your hard work will pay off, you can party and go gorilla and dumb.

It should be the best time of your life, be positive, stay focused on your studies in school, do the home assignments and be spontaneous. Enjoy yourself and you will be able to look on these days fondly when you are my age (46).

Its awsome.
I go to school with 5000+ students so it interesting.
Just make sure to stay in line with creds.
If not, it makes the rest of your HS years hard.
And you wont have much fun later.

It's monotonous, boring, and the your self-image will probably be your biggest concern. Once you finish college and are actually in the middle of your career, you'll pay anything to have those simple days back again!
