Dear Answerers,

Something is eating up deep round holes in my tomotoes - eats whole meat to the seeds, but leaving seeds untouched - .

Damaged tomotoes are the ones turning red, sometimes green ones and never yellow ones.

Please, Please - let me know who it can be and what can be done to stop it!

No rabbits or dears in the area - some squirrels and birds only.

probably slugs which come out at night. Put some beer in a shallow pan and leave it near your plants and chec the pan in the morning to see if there are slugs in it. You can buy a poison that will kill the slugs at he garden center but keep this away from pets

Squirrels are evil rodents and will eat your tomatoes, red or green, especially if conditions are dry. They are looking for the moisture.

Coyote urine crystals for the squirrels and rabbits. The crystals last longer than the liquid.

Diatomaceous Earth for any bug problem. It is harmless to you, kids, pets but will kill any bug (anything with an exoskeleton.)

Theirs is "food grade" so I recommend them. You might be able to find DE at a local garden shop but be sure that you only get "food grade," you don't want the other kind.

Did you check for tomato worms? They are green and about the width of the stem of the plant. They are really gross. Sometimes have horns. You have to look carefully, and pick them off, put into a coffee can with something to kill them, because you don't want them around. They will ruin your tomatoes. I have had the (dis)pleasure!

My guess would be earwigs. Garlic/Pepper spray is an insect deterrent.Add 1/2 cup of finely chopped garlic and 1/2cup hot pepper to 1pint of water. let sit for a day, then strain and spray on plants every 3 to 4 days.

my guess would be tomato worms or birds. if it is worms, there is a spray for that. Birds can be deterred by covering the plant with a netting, it will still get sun and water but the birds cant get to the tomato.

Squirls are probably doing it. I have heard of people hanging red christmas balls on the plants and it confuses them and makes them go away. Pepper sprinkled on them will help but has to be applied every few days.
