This computer worked well before I moved it but now the monetor shows nothing. the computer is running and sounds ok but don't seem to boot up.

Make sure the power and video connections are plugged in tight. Does the power light come on on the monitor? Your monitor or video card could have died when they were moved, but it is unlikely, unless somebody dropped the monitor.
Make sure you have good electric outlet in the new place.

Check your connection between the monitor and the pc. Check power to the monitor and make sure it is turned on. Make sure no dials were rotated that would make the screen go dark. If all of these check out, video card could have been knocked loose in the move, unless you have onboard video.
