good question , i have been looking at the giants subject for last couple of weeks as well . but if you really look at it the Greek god's
had nothing to do with the TITANS (giants)which were living on earth before most of the culture's known to men . in Greek mythology Zeus defeated the the TITANS (very tall people) with his thunder bolt or something? i think ! before he started ruling as the king of gods !!!
p.s i think we were all more then 15ft ages ago !!!

I agree, wasn't the giant Goliath in the bible around 10 to 12 feet tall. I can't remember for sure but I know it did give his height and it was something like that. I have also heard that they have found remains of people in South America that are many thousands of years old and were like 10 to 12 feet tall with blond hair. Maybe there is something to the ancient Aryan race, they were supposedly giants, or very tall with blond hair, blue eyes. It has been speculated that they were the Nephlilm in the bible, or descendants of Atlantis, and even that they were aliens from another planet and came to earth and were worshiped as gods.

it wasnt a god the gods in greek and roman mythology were thought up to be the size of an average man or woman for goddess, the giants were thought to be much bigger than that as tall as 20ft which is the reason y the gods couldnt defeat them (because the giants were taller and bigger than the gods), so whats left u may be asking i think its the amazon warrior women

well i would simply believe that they were giants. The ruling gods that dominate most of greek mythology( zeus, posidon, hera, etc) were not gigantic beings. by all accounts they looked and acted in the same way that humans did with jeaous rages and other human traits. however their predecessors, the titans were giants. Zeus and his brothers and sisters (the pantheon of gods who rule at this time) defeated the titans and banished them to tartarus or hell in greek mythology to be watched over by hades, lord of the underworld.

I seriously doubt they even thought these mythical creatures as gods. Maybe the story behind the gods what what they worship...the wisdom and knowledge and put a name and face to it so they could pass it down to each generation better. Sometimes words have 2 meanings. ;)

giant maybe, but most giants were considered to be much taller than 9 ft, and gods took human form around humans, for if a human looks at a god in his divine form, they burst into flame

I haven't heard anything on that rumour, but there is a theory awhile back about the Nephilim being in connection with those crazy greeks. (I thought you wanted info on them, if you do want info/stories about them let me know! ;)
