I was standing in the middle of a highway leading into Washington D.C. We were in traffic that wasn't moving so me & my boyfriend (husband now) left our car and stood in the meridian to watch the fireworks. Wow I had forgotten that. Thanks for reminding me it was a fun memory.

I was traveling the country playing in a rock and roll band. On July 4th, 76, the band performed at a Bi-Centennial celebration in Hastings Nebraska. The event was definitely a highlight in the lives of many Nebraskans as The Blue Angels conducted an awesome air show just prior to the singing of the National Anthem and an amazing fireworks display by the then very popular rock band "Styx". My personal memories of this moment are fond. ♫♪♫
