If this is a derogatory term I do appologize. I just didn't know what it meant when I came across a question about it.

What does it mean. Please no additional derogatory remarks if it is a raciest term.

The reason I want to know is that I have a wild rabbit named Beaner because he ate all my green beans and he lives in my garden and he is like a pet to us now. We have asked God to give us a bountiful harvest if we share it with Beaner and so far he has. But I would hate to be calling Beaner or talking to him and have the neighbors think I was talking about them and not to my rabbit.

Thanks for telling me. I have hispanic neighbors. I guess I may need to shorten my Rabbits name. LOL
I was worried that that is what it meant.

A beaner is a Mexican immigrant.The term "wet-back" is also used to describe a Mexican immigrant.Both are derogatory and usually have a special meaning that describes Mexican immigrants in a negative manner.

i really don't find it bad, my friend alberto goes by the nickname beaner. all's it is, is a term to sterio-type those of mexican heritage for there like of beans, nothing to wrong with it if those who you are calling beaner are not offended, it is just like the term.....nevermind, it is nothing like the term ******, this term actually means slave. it is not just a sterio-type, to call someone that even if you were you're self is the ultimate disgrace, never use a term that is questionable without knowing the history of it and the real meaning, good luck in you're conquest to find out the word beaner..

Well, I learn something everyday, and this one is a new one to me. Pretty soon, I am not going to be able so say anything without offending someone somewhere. I always thought a "No Beaner" was something that took no intelligence to do or know. Hmmmm OR maybe that was a "no brainer." Whatever!

Hi Randy;
It's a racial term for Mexicans.
Change your rabbit's name to Beano....then you'll be referring to something completely different...actually the opposite end of the spectrum, as Beano gets rid of gas...whereas the Mexican's eat beans that produce the gas.
Never mind.....

When I lived in Southern California it was a Mexican. They ate a lot of re-fried beans. It was not a bad term. Just slang

Its a term used to describe a Mexican it is probably derogatory. It has to do with all the
