IPod video supports a couple of different video/audio formats. The main one people use is Mpeg4. If your videos aren't encoded in Mpeg4 then they won't work. I've linked you to the specs page below for the full details. You may be able to find a program to transcode them to a format the Ipod can play. I've linked to one such program that is community supported, and very good.

The format he iPod will play is either H264 or Mpg4.

If it's not one of those formats you're out of luck. You can get Quicktime Pro to export to either H264 or Mpg4 so the videos will play on the iPod.

probably then wrong format for ipod"s check your ipod book for details on which formats it will run
