I'm an actress and someone recently saw an old commercial of mine running. The only problem is that they're not giving me any residual. I contacted my union but they say they don't have time to take care of this unless I can tell them which channel it was on, as well as the date and time. I'm trying to find a way to get a list of the commercials that run on tv. I can't believe that wouldn't be possible. They must keep track somewhere of which commercials run. For informations: it's a Noxzema commercial where I wash my face with a piece of cloth, and the sink is sad because I don't need it anymore. It features the song "all by myself". (hey, I didn't write this ad!!!).

Good luck! The producers of a show put commercials in, the Network puts commercials in, and the cable or satellite company puts commercials in. You would have to contact thousands upon thousands of people to find that one commercial. If you did know which show, which Network, and what time it would definitely narrow down the search. Good luck and I'll try to keep an eye out for ya.
