I guess it depends on the person but I think they are worth it. On pricier ones, the bristles are better quality and they can pick up the makeup better and apply it more evenly. I have an expensive big brush for blush and it is sooo worth it.

No, it's not worth it when Q-tips and your own fingers are the best blenders and applicators in the world. The only makeup brushes I've ever bought are liptick and blush ones, but found that a cotton ball will do great for blush and lipsticks now come in great shapes, so a lip brush isn't worth it. Blend lipstick with your pinkie finger and that sets it well, too. Save your money you'd spend on brushes and buy a magnificent blouse or dress to go with that lovely face you have!

Good brushes will take your makeup from good to great and are well worth the investment.
I don't think I could live without my angle liner, contour eyeshadow and blending brushes. Good brushes give you precise application and control of the product way better than sponge tip applicators ever could.
If you spend the money now to buy good quality brushes, you won't have to replace them for a long time.

Absolutely. The best will last you a 10x as long as the cheap imitations. I have some brushes that I have had - and taken care of - for close to 13 years. That is a small price to pay for accurate application, precise color placement and general kindness to your skin. Plus, you really only need a few brushes to get you started... a large blusher, loose powder to set your foundation, all-over eye, an angle brush and an eye-brow brush. Once you have those, you can start to augment your collection. By the best you can afford - you won't be sorry.

Yes, the better ones last longer than some of the cheaper ones. But the cheaper ones work just as well. It's really a matter of choice. You just need to see what the quality of the brush is;some expensive ones are poorly made, while some less expensive ones are expertly done.I have expensive ones by Bobbi Brown, and cheaper brushes that I also like.

Spending a lot of money on brushes doesn't alway guarantee good quality. A friend of mine actually spent $350 on kevyn aucoin's brush set and a couple of months later they fell apart. However, if your budget allows it go ahead and buy what you want. I use essence of beauty brushes that I purchased at CVS at a reasonable price. You might want to consider going to an art supply store to buy makeup brushes.

YES. A good brush will insure even application and be kinder to the skin on your face which is more sensetive. Mary Kay had a set of really good brushes (about $45) and they're wonderful.

You can go to Target and get Sonia K's brushes that are very good.
Also, I bought a package of 5 from CVS drugstore that are awesome! (20.00)
I don't think I would buy 1 brush for 20.00 maybe a package of 5 but that is it.

No.... go to Walmart and buy cheap ones... they all do the same things! Spend the money on the makeup cause if you buy good makeup it shouldn't matter what you use to put it on.

i think they are. they cover better, allow you to be more creative and last longer than cheaper ones. if you really don't want to spend the money, then you can just stick to the triangle make up wedge spongy things and q-tips
