You can use your email address and send it to the person at 10digitphonenumber@teleflip.com. Teleflip will automatically route the message to the appropriate carrier, so you don't have to.

I think if you have an Apple Macintosh with Mac OS X, there is a widget for the Dashboard that does this, that you could search for on the Apple Computer website.
