use condom.....if you use pills or shots they will mess the body up and you might have to wait longer up to a year before you want to become pregnant...happened to my sister she took pills and when she stopped it almost took one and half years to get pregnant with her 2nd child...hope this helps

IUD is the most effective, but it works best if you've already been pregnant (whether or not you gave birth).

The pill is next, but it takes a while for your body to adjust after you stop taking it.

A combination of condoms and a diaphragm would be effective. You could also use a "natural" method where you chart your fertility cycle--this would also be useful when you start trying to get pregnant.

Here's a site that explains:

There is always foam, condoms, there are suppositories etc just go to your local pharmacy such as: Rite Aid, Walgreens, Walmart, Target, Longs, or any of those places and go to the section that has all that stuff. Everything when used properly does prevent pregnancy BUT nothing is ever guaranteed or 100% either.

I'd say condoms. You can also use this spremicide gel or foam stuff you put in there right before you have sex...but to be safe use condoms along with that. I used that for a while. They had it on Amazon but I couldn't post the link for some reason....Ortho Options.

Condoms, diaphragam or cervical cap. For the last two, you would need to go to your doctor to get fitted for one. You will have to use spermicide with them, which can be bought at walmart or most any grocery store. The first one you can buy almost anywhere now days.

I'd talk to your OBGYN and address your concerns. They would know the most about the pros and cons of each different birth control out there on the market.

AL BIRTH CONTROL PILLS HAVE SIDE EFFECTS. SOME OF WHICH CAN BE VERY SERIOUS. THE BEST THING TO DO IS TO USE CONDOM'S UNTIL YOU ARE READY TO HAVE A BABY. IF YOU SMOKE BIRTH CONTROL PILLS CAN EVEN CAUSE DEATH FROM BLOOD CLOTS.

A combination of a condum and the pill. Use both at all times.

Condoms or I have a better idea, DON'T DO IT. Then you know without a shadow of a doubt you won't get preg.
