i love stars and want to get them tatted on my collar bone. i've seen actually quite a few people with those, and i dont want to be a fool and get something tatted on my that stands for something crazy... thanks!

it's just because it's trendy. a few rockstars decided to get them there so everyone followed suit. collarbones are gonna hurt like a *****.
and to the last answer, she didn't necessarily say nautical stars, but the definition of the nautical star was correct.

THEY ARE NAUTICAL STARS...THE STAR IS A SYMBOL OF PROTECTION AND GUIDANCE..SAILORS WOULD TATTOOO THE NAUTICAL STAR ON THEIR FOREARM AS A GOOD LUCK SYMBOL IN HOPES OF RETUNING HOME.MORE RECENTLY THE TATTO HAS BECOME A SYMBOL FOR FINDING ONES WAY THROUGH LIFE.

how will anyone see them if they are on the collarbone? get them on the skin, like your face. then everyone will know how much you love them.

i don't think so. you can give them any interpretation you want or none at all. what someone else might think they stand for is completely meaningless.
