Surface temp has increased about 1 deg C over the past century.
The rate is less in the atmosphere, but watch out when the oceans have less of a moderating effect.
Models suggest a rise of 1.5 to 6.0 deg C by 2100.
As we see, the variables that force this change are under debate - but temperature increase is occurring.

According the the June issue of Environment & Climate News, Vol 9 No 5, the current rate of global warming is "a remarkably constant and non-alarming rate of 0.17 degrees C per decade" (Page 10) That means that at this rate it would take over 50 years for the temperature to rise by one degree.

It is rising, true. One or two degrees every year. But this is a natural occurrence. Not just global warming. About the hole in the ozone....which has closed, is also a natural one which occurs every 100 yrs or so. I'm told its like a natural exhaust pipe for the planet. Like fire is a natural rebirth.

According to the big study that just came out that was put on CNN.com and National Geographic the world's temp has gone up one degree in twenty years. So if you live inland and were hoping for beach front property... keep dreaming.

There is no global warming: manmade anyway...1 volcano produces more clouroflourocarbon gas than man has ever created in his entire existance...There are at least 76 non-dormant volcanos at this very moment. Al Gore is a "FEAR PEDDLER) for hire. I mean a politician looking for a job...Don't hire him!!!

Actually, the only measurable change OVERALL (not per year) is only a fraction of a degree. That's why there's so much debate about it.
