The ongoing theme in this year's BB is one of back-stabbing, sniping, character assassination, moaning, whingeing, whining, self-pity and diva dramatics ... all by the women. The men seem content to play in the garden or compile lists of "ten best ...".
Is this a true representation of the differences between the two genders?

BB as we all know is a controlled situation and the participants are chosen for certain qualities.
If there was none of the Soap type drama in the house people wouldn't watch the show and the producers would then place someone inside to create problems.

I don't watch that show but I'm sure they had a theme in mind when casting the show and bitchy women was part of it so they choose players accordingly.

No, women as a whole are not bitchy, catty, backstabbing, whining and diva dramatics as the show is portraying them.

Remember also that these shows are edited to look a certain way so the producers may be leaving out certain moments where the woman are reacting to other people.

Not exactly. Although some women do act like the women on BB not all of us do. To be honest I cannot stand back-stabbing, whining, diva dramatics and I hate that there are some women out there like that who represent me being a woman. I just hope that men can see past the bad ones and realize there are still good ones like me:)

similar. You see women tend to show their emotions on average, and men on average are like children. Men, on average, tend to not get certain things, they can't see the big picture, and men, on average, are very selfish, and inconsiderate, because it's not in their nature to look out for other's feelings. But women, on average, have a softer side that makes them stop and think about their actions before just spontaneously acting. Therefore on average, women tend to nag more for the man to think about their woman a little more than themselves which gives women this whiny, naggy, image where the man is laid back (because he's in the dark) and very passive.
So yes, it's getting there. So if you want your woman to quit complaining, or just shut up and stop yelling, you'll have to realize you might have to change something too. Most women will let you know where you need to change, and if you care about a good healthy relationship, you'll start listening.

you mean that crappy show 'Big Brother'?
They are doing that because they want their 15 minutes+ of fame. They want to be remembered as the bitchy, irritable, "I am misunderstood" f@cking little diva that always wanted to be. And either they were like that before and start to ham it up, or, they decided to have a total change and go all for it, because, in my opinion, everyone of them wants to be an actor and be spotted.
Can't stand that show, can't stand them, why did that last in the first place?

No, women aren't all out to manipulate, and b*tch about everyone they come into contact with. BB holds auditions, so they are choosing the girls that are like that.

Everyone bitches now and then, but BB is really giving out the wrong image of women. As though we are all nasty back-stabbers.

Ughh that show sucks me in but it's sooo bad. The women on there only act like that because they are rich spoiled brats who only care about themselves (for the most part).

i know loads of women and only a couple of them can be bitchy. BB set it up by putting in spoilt brats who only want their 15 minutes of fame.

well, big brother is hardly a "true representation" of society.. but, yes women are, on the whole, more bitchy then men... hence the word BITCHing.

No I don't think so. I don't think that we can base our assumptions on a few rather eccentric people that are thrown into settings that are so abnormal and different from everyday life as possible.
