Hey I am 14 and I am going into 9th this yr. When I was going into middle school I was scared too. um. My school is not devided like some schools. so there is 7th- 12th graders in the same building and that was pretty scary for me cuz older kids can be really mean to younger kids. But just reasure her it is going to have fun and don't worry about being bullied cuz most of the time the older kids don't even bother u cuz they don't want to even talk to a younger kids. If she has an older sibling see if they can talk to her or reasure her that nothing is going to happen. Hope everything works out!!!! Good luck!!!! Watch out for the boys LOL!!

Take a tip from me.
Get her along 2 some self-defense classes.
It will improve her confidence & have the added benefit, if & we hope she never has 2, use it.
Karate's also good
& easy 2 learn.
Please I hope she wants 2 or U manage 2 talk her in2 it.
My daughter was the same. Tae Ken Do sorted her out & she's a Brown Tag. God I'm proud of her, bet U can tell?

Well when i started middle school I was scared too, but the main idea is for her to be herself. Its a dog eat dog world in middle school, so she needs to keep her head on. I used to think the same way, but i just ignored the rumours and i didn't take bullying from no one, so she should do the same. Tell her that you too were her age and felt the same way but you got throught it, because when you tell us, oh, its going to be okay, we feel that mothers are just saying that. Tell her about your experiences and maybe she'll learn a thing or two from you

The best thing your daughter can do is get into a group of friends that she will feel comfortable around (EX. can eat lunch with, talk to when out of school, etc.). If she does this the transition from elementary to middle school is much easier. This also works, but is probably more important, when making the transition from middle school to high school.

I'm going into middle school and I'm also scared of the same stuff. She should just be herself and if people don't like her then there not worth her time.

WHEN I FIRST STARTED GOING TO MIDDLE SCHOOL I WAS SCARED 2. MY BEST FREND WUZ AT A DIFFERENT SKOOL SO I FELT ALONE. THEN AS THE YEAR WENT ON I STARTED LIKING IT BETTER N MET NEW FRENDS. OF COURSE THERE WERE SUM PEOPLE WHO DIDNT LIKE ME BUT IT WUZ OK. I WUZNT EXPECTING EVERYONE TO LIKE ME. THOUGH I KNOW HOW UR DAUGHTER FEELS. GOING TO THE MIDDLE SCHOOL CAN BE A BIT SCARY BUT IN THE END ITS GREAT AND U WULD DIE IF U CULDNT GO BACK. I THINK IN THE END SHE WILL LIKE IT 2. CUZ IN MIDDLE SCHOOL THERES A LOT OF PEOPLE THAT U CAN MEET. I STILL WISH I WUZ IN SKOOL BECUZ NOW I HAVE A GREAT LIFE AND A GREAT BF.
P.S. I'M GOING TO THE 8TH GRADE NEXT YEAR.
*BEST WISHES TO YOUR DAUGHTER, WHO IS GOING TO MIDDLE SCHOOL*

I went through the same thing. She will be okay, I promise you. Just remind her that there is a principal and a counselor there if she ever needs someone to go to when she's at school!!!

reassure that there are many people who will be there who feel exactly the way she does and that many people can relate. try connecting your first experience of middle school to her situation. she'll find someone she can share the same feelings with.

Shes just nervous. Have her be herself. In elementary school I was a loser, 6th grade became popular, hated it and then went back to being a loser. Its great time to explore and find herself
