My grandson has this game and plays it all the time, too. The freedom to steal, inflict harm, and kill without any fear of consequences is quite intoxicating and I'm sure that many, many people are "addicted" to it. To vicariously do just about anything you feel like doing, including fly around, zoom around in high speed cars, even get killed and then get up again is very enticing to people, but especially to young children. It's too bad that so many parents aren't wise enough to see the harm they are doing the children that have been placed in their care by allowing them to experience this constant rush of unrestricted ego without consequences. Hopefully, they will wake up and take their responsibility of child rearing more seriously.

Absolutely not. The entire Grand Theft Auto series of games is rated M and suggested for people 17 and older only and it earns that rating. The games are very entertaining however they are entirely inappropriate for young children.

Personally, no. There's a lot of swearing and killing. For older kids who understand that these actions are innappropriate, the game is ok. However, for little ones who might not know what theyr seeing and doing is wrong, its not so good.

Don't get me wrong, I'm an avid video game player and enjoy some fictious violence and casual swearing. But the level of violence and swearing in the GTA games is a little bit much for me.

I think and I am sure that this game is rated, but in any case this game should not be played by little kids unless its an edited copy of the game. Don't get me wrong its a great game which is suitable for teenager and adults.

No, absolutely not. GTA is very tongue-in-cheek and not meant to be taken seriously at all, but the over-the-top humor would soar over the heads of most children, and the subject matter is just too adult.

I would never let my (theoretical) kids play a GTA game, though I love the series.

No, that's why games have ratings for parents that know little about games and their content. Honey this game is rate M for Mature 17+ our little Johnny is only 6 maybe we should get him this game it's rated E for Everyone. Good Choice.

Although it is not meant for kids, but surprisingly they are the ones to play it the most. The offensive language and the obvious stuff is the problem. There should have been a parental lock in this game.
I guess not much can be done about it.We have to admit it the adult bar is just for name sake.

I dont think that that game is appropriate for little kids, it teaches them many things that are not right. Just sit with them and see it yourself. And it has an M rating which means that it has adult content that may not be suitable for little kids.

i think it depends on the age. and plus if kids arent playing the game at home you know there playin it over at a friends house. but really i dont think that a game teachs kids to be killers and s**t! ive played that game since it came out and it hasnt maid me think its ok to go kill hookers and stuff! as long as they have been told that wut you do in a video game should never be used as a life example. the thing that does make if fun is the fact that you can go a kill mafia members and hookers and go steal cars is wut is appealing to kids none the less boys. violence is everywhere on tv, in movies...everywhere! and being able to be violent in a game helps to not go crazy as a kid cuz theres so much more to being a kid theses days.

I'm not sure it is appropriate for any age! When adults fill their minds with this type of entertainment, remnants filter through their behavior to the children. Absolutely not appropriate for the young and probably not for any age.
