I just stopped the nuva ring this past cycle. We're going to wait two cycles and then start TTC. I'm choosing to chart my basal body temperatures and other fertility signs (www.fertilityfriend.com for more info on that) to help maximize our chances when we start trying.
Every woman is different, I know a number of women who got pregnant their first month trying and others who took 6 months to ovulate. Easiest thing to do is to just have sex everyday and make an extra effort to have sex when your cervical fluid resembles eggwhites (mostly clear and stretchy) because if you are going to ovulate it'll happen around that time.

Different women have different experiences with hormonal birth control. It could take you 2 weeks or a full year after using it to be fertile again. There is no way to know in advance. Very rarely, hormones render a woman permanently infertile.
