It doesn't actually grow back. Once it is removed, you can get scar tissue there and it can be very painful, almost to the point where it was when you had the appendix still in there.... you could also get a little diverticuli (or outpouching of the colon) where the appendix used to be and if food gets stuck in it it can certainly hurt a bit. But the appendix itself doesn't actually grow back.

I doubt it. The appendix is getting smaller at each generation. They say that it will eventually disappear from the human body.

i have actually had appendicious, and no it can not grow back. even if they dont operate like they did one me because mine hade burst and and leaked all over my body, it will shrivle up and go away. good thing is it doesnt do anything

uhhhh no.... if you cut your finger off, it doesn't grow back. Why would an organ grow back if it was cut out???? It just doesn't happen.

It shouldn't. Not unless it was misdiagnosed and when they did the surgery it was not appendicitis and left it there.
