I'm scared of heights because I had a very traumatic experience as a young girl with heights that has affected me for a long time.
Its a phobia, an unrational fear that is very difficult to get over. Sometimes you can't really explain why you are scared of it.

I firmly believe that if God wanted me to be anywhere but on the ground, he would have given me wings, or at least the ability to levitate. Whenever I'm off the ground, even if it's just ten feet up on the ladder, I look down and think 'How badly will it hurt when I hit the ground and break something?' I have no desire to be anywhere or do anything that requires me to be dangling in the air, waiting to fall. I am hopelessly clumsy, and I don't want to walk around with casts on all the time.

different people are scared of different things, im not scared of heights, im scared of encloed spaces, spders and cotton wool, freaks me out, oh and snakes and wasps and bees

They are scared of falling to their death. It's more rational than any other fear.

i don't believe its a fear of heights i think its more a fear of falling.
