who thinks here that American cartoons are gay? i think they are...i mean look at the adult cartoons...the Simpsons, Family Guy, Robot Chicken...and of course the kid cartoons like Spongebob, Fairy OddParents, and Catscartch...they put stuff in there that they think is funny but not really...anime is better i think....by the way i am American so yeah i just insulted my nation

I think the clever dialog saves the Simpsons. People watch that show --it's approaching 400 episodes.
The rest of the cartoons completely suck, but I have to say that the animated movies are really terrible. The "Pixar" computerized eyes and eye contact is really terrible, a kind of sharply focused phoniness, that is creepy and disturbing.
Some anime is good. I really miss "Liquid Television" on MTV --now that was good animation because it was ironic and carefully thought out and clever.

Read a dictionary and learn to use better wording than "gay".
Everyone has a different sense of humor; just because you dislike something doesn't make it stupid, it just means you dislike it. Not everyone likes anime, and certainly not everyone likes all the anime fanbrats who go strutting around telling everyone constantly, "Anime is so much better than American cartoons. It has depth and feeling, with good plots while American cartoons are just stupid! Never mind the fact that we're both still watching cartoons (which, no matter how you look at it, are made for children or the immature) and that many people in Japan LOVE American cartoons and are sick of their own anime, that it's all for entertainment and no one's opinion matters because clearly, no matter what, anime rules and Ameri-cartoons drool!"

My opinion is that all the americans cartoons may be funny, but just plain stupid. The only american cartoon i like is family guy. But i hate all kids and some adult cartoons, there just all idiotic, take for example: The Simpsons. It used to be funny in the 80's but now it just plain SUCKS!! But still, you don't have to think it's gay, you can just think its stupid, idiotic, or moronic... The only cartoon i think is gay is Spongebob. Also... Anime is really better because they all have good stories, and amazing colors. But that just my opinion.

The only American cartoon that I like is teenage mutant ninja turtles( the new cartoon) otherwise I prefer anime

cartoons were sooo much better in the late 80s and early 90s. now everything has to be funny. Back then cartoons had morals that taught children something without them even knowing.

some cartoons made is American people are kind of "ok" but animation like Inuyasha, CowboyDepot, sailormoon, love hina ect.... those are good cartoon (animate)

ithink they are a little over the top-
even cartoons for kids have hidden suggestive topics that they don't know they're learning...look at shrek it kinda pushes the line...
i'm a new mom & i'll definately see movies before i let my lil girl watch em

yeh I thik you are right, America has popped out some pretty crappy cartoons. Theres a few decent ones out there though, mostly Disney stuff.
