Liposuction is a plastic surgery. Where tiny 1/2 inch incisions are made at the problem area of your body, a long metal tube like thing, comes in different sizes, are inserted ran back and forth like vacuuming and it literally sucks out the fat into a container and disposed of. And you looked bruised and beat up for a while. So don't plan it for a quick up coming event. they will recommend dieting first and exercise, it is a last ditch effort. Lots of women have it done. Side effects are there with all surgeries, complications from anesthesia, infections, bleeding, blood clots. With a good reputable plastic surgeon, the results can be amazing. Ive seen some pretty bikini bellies. Just about all body parts can be lipo'd. Thighs hips etc.

My sister just had it done on her hips and thighs and it cost her over $7,000! She said it was very painful (read the description above of how they actually do it-ouch!) and she was bruised, very sore and out of work for about two-three weeks. She had bandages that needed to be changed and had to wear a girdle type thing that was very tight and uncomfortable and tubes draining blood and puss out of her into a bag-I am NOT kidding! She lost a lot of blood while she was in surgery, which is a risk factor, that caused the surgery to last a lot longer than originally expected and caused to her to have to stay in the hospital for three days. She said she would not recommend it.
A good surgeon will encourage you to diet and exercise first before they perform liposuction as it should not be used as a weight loss method. I say, given the risks of surgery, the very high cost (and insurance does not cover it) and the pain and time involved in the recovery, just try the old fashioned way: diet and exercise!

Hollywood types use this to make their thighs and tummy thinner. The last rating of liposuction I read said it had a deathrate of 1 in 500. I don't like those odds.

its a metal rod they stick up your stomach adn suck out the fat to make you get skinny
the pros: you have nice abs
the cons: its really expensive, it leaves scars on ther in sides of your stomach, and they can only suck out a certain number of pounds becuase its a health hazard
