Yes they can, it all depends on the person who you are with. I guess when their eyes are closed they are really into it/you, but on the other hand it can just be a nut that you are getting and there would be no need to close your eyes

Good observation...I think more often than not, one should close the eyes at the point of climax. I will be more observant next time. But I also observed that one easily sleeps right after sex...whatever!

I've done it with my eyes open. It's not like not being able to sneeze with your eyes open. I think some people just prefer to have their eyes closed, or maybe not look at their partner in case they were looking at them.
