Because not alot of people even know who they are or what they want out of life. Most of them are people pleasers.. meaning they tend to be whatever the "crowd" wants. Afraid of being their real selves afraid of not being accepted amongst their peers. In a perfect world we would not let others influence who we are, or what we want. If you have one true friend in your life consider yourself lucky. And anyone who is your friend one day and ditch you the next isnt a friend at all.

fear of showing people who they really are. if people know your mistakes they may hate you. it is not like we are all human and make small and big mistakes
