A TOAST TO OUR FLAG

Here's to the White of it, who knows the might of it
But thrills to the sight of it, through day and night.
Womanhood's care for it makes manhood dare for it
Purity's prayer for it
Kept it so white

And here's to the Red of it, to every thread of it
In all the spread of it, from the foot to the head
Heroes bled for it, they faced steel and lead for it
They slept with the dead for it
Precious blood they shed
Bathing it red

And here's to the Blue of it, heavenly hue of it
Beauteous view of it, star spangled view of it, constant and true
Diadems gleam for it, States stand supreme for it
Liberty's beam for it
Kept it so blue

And here's to the whole of it
The Stars, the Bars and the pole of it
To the body and soul of it, Oh !! The magnificent roll of it
The Sun shining through

I swear by the sword for it
Thanking the Lord for it

I am very impressed! I love it! It speaks to more than just what is patriotic about the flag - but more what is inside the poet who wrote about the spirit of it. I hope you have it published.

Please try submitting it to the congress , and make them alter the National Anthem to this, please :)))
