A guy from an online forum said
"Some gays are decent and discrete but most of them are corrupted and want everybody to be like them".
Is it true?
I am not gay and I'm not homophobic.

actually the statement is " Some of them are discrete and decent but most of them discovered it and want everybody to be like them"
Sorry about the word "corrupted", it was long time ago.

uh, no. id say tht guy is ignorant and possible a huge homophobe. im gay and i dont want everyone to be like me, in a sexual sense. i want everyone to be as ACCEPTING as i am of people's differences. i like straight people as much as i like queers. besides, that comment holds no credibility. comparing decent and discrete to wanting everyone to be like them....huh? i dont hide who i am, much like straight couples...i want the same rights and if people cannot accept that love is love, well, good thing you dont count anyway.

Id say its true for the most part but I dont think its "most" gays who are the "corrupted" ones however they are indeed the loudest.

Personally I think such things as "Gay Pride Parades" hurt them more than help them. Ive never heard of someone "converted" into accepting gays from the parades. In fact, it usually makes people dislike them more because it's just rediculous to flaunt your sexuality like that. People learn to accept people when they see they arent much different from them. Parades and things like that just make the gap between people deeper.

Everybody's looking 4 the ladder
Everybody wants salvation of the soul
The steps U take are no easy road
But the reward is great 4 those who want 2 go

I think that discretion is good but why is it required to be considered decent. I think that I would not want others to have to live like I do but if a guy is bisexual I would like to know it because it would make it easier to talk to guys about this if I had more bisexual friends.
I am glad you are straight. For your sake.

I am gay. And let me tell you, while I'm proud of who I am, had I the choice, I'd be straight. I don't wish this on anyone else. Light heartedly, we might see a really fine looking man, and say, "Boy, I wish he was gay!" but that is just talk.

I'm glad you're not gay, your life will be a lot happier.

couldn't you say that exact thing for a lot of straight people too? i disagree. most gay people i know (and some of them are close friends) are warm and caring beings and definately not corrupted"

Essentially what they are saying is "as long as they stay in the closet, they are fine"...
It's a homophobic comment, nothing more.
