ok look at all the things you used to do together, the way he kisses you, touchs you, and treats you, does it feel the same when you first got together and does he treat you the same way as before. if you feel inside your heart that the rumors are true then you have to follow your heart. you don't need to be feeling this way about someone you care about. if you ask him and he can' t look you straight in the eyes and look around, he is lying to you, and if he gets mad when you ask him questions, he is guilty if he could look you in the eyes and not get mad then you might not have to worry. the guilty can't look you in the eyes, cause the eyes will lie themselfs.
try finding out more and see if you could see things yourself. cause hear say is also people trying to cause trouble for those who are happy. and the one's who are not happy don't want others to be happy. or there could be this, who ever you are hearing it from could only be saying this to either get you or him away cause they want to be with you or him. jealous of others also breaks up happy relationships.

If you have that many doubts about him, you don't need to be with him. You can't doubt someone like that and still have a relationship. Move on.
