I know. I don't understand why ppl block their email address. I mean all you have to do is make it not shown but where ppl can still contact you. I don't see how that harms anything.

If the question asked by the answerer doesn't at all help to formulate an answer, or is in no way used as a tool to guide your thoughts to what the answerer is trying to help you see, then yes...but I don't think that necessarily makes them idiots.

I do, however, answer some questions with a question occasionally, but it is always followed by a (usually lengthy) explanation or a thought path.

Or perhaps the asker wasn't clear enough with their question or it just didn't make sense. If the answerers reply with questions seeking more answers, are they idiots as well, or does that title fall back to the asker?

Sometimes genius is found in the ability to enlighten others through a series of well thought questions. Self-discovery is the ultimate learning.

Sometimes there aren't any concrete answers and often answers are at best not much more than opinions.

And sometimes an answer only raises more questions.

And sometimes some of us don't have a contact address for a response because we are in a profession that does not need any more distractions and nasty, angry e-mails from posters who dislike your sincere answers don't exactly brighten your day when you work with bed-ridden Vets who have enough problems of their own.

Not as much as I dislike the ones that ask pointless questions. Feel free to get hold of me... using my contact address.

Yes, it was good enough for Plato. He used it quite successfully to provoke a more meaningful response. Unfortunately my last attempts to reach him by email have been unsuccessful to date. Now, what was your question?
