Lexipro is the newest of a class of meds known as SSRIs. The first of these was Prozac which came out around 1987. They are all excellent medications that have give millions of people relief from disorders such as depression,anxiety,OCD,panic attack,etc. For some people, Lexipro seem to have fewer side effect and seems to be effective in smaller doses than some of the other drugs.The one side effect that I seem to see a bit more frequently in my patients is the complaint of being hungry all the time which of course leads to weight gain.That's a small minority. If you're considering trying this please do.I've seen several people who have done very well on this who had problems with other drugs.

It depends on the person. If that doesn't work there are other similar drugs that might.

yes, lexipro does work. my wife takes it daily, and we are both much happier.
