Such a general question that it's difficult to answer but overall I would say the composite result is more negative as time goes on. I would rather say apathy and lack of effort rather than ignorance but then given some of the examples I see around I wonder if I should re-evaluate my position. I actually posted an opinion about this in my personal blog and instead of copying it if you care to read check out. http://acaseforinsanity.blogspot.com/ with the post or subtopics Infatuation, Love, and Temptations and Over the Hill isn't too far to travel ... Is Technology that bad?

They are dying because no one takes the time to communicate and listen to one another anymore. We have become an "instant gratification" society...we want what we want and we want it NOW. The days of sitting around the table for dinner every night as a family has now degraded to going to Chuck E. Cheese and McDonalds. Men and Women have lost sight of what love is and nowadays if a girl doesn't sleep with a guy on the first date, he wants nothing to do with her, and if a guy doesn't spoil his girl on the first date she moves on to someone who will.

We waste our time doing so many useless and unneeded things that we don't make the time to build relationships. We don't base them off of the right values, heck, it seems that values have went right out the window and attitudes rule the day.

"Do onto others as you would have them do onto you". This sounds so cliche, but if everyone actually practiced this, I think human relationships would improve greatly.

We are trying to separate ourselves so much from each other. In fact, we are all connected but people don't want to be connected to everyone because then they think that they are the same as the other. Or it is the fact that the world is influencing children instead of the neighborhoods or just a closer net community, which used to be. With that in thought people would feel isolated and dismissed.

As women have become equal to men in relationships men have had to learn sensitivity. This is making relationships better. Women are demanding more of men than ever before.

Friendships are becoming more distant though as people get busier and busier. Instant Messaging and email and telephone messages are replacing face to face time.

Communication methods have greatly increased but face to face time is still just as important as ever. People need to see others in person to fully communicate and not doing so is hurting everyone.

Take care,
Troy
