Sex is a very powerful psychological drug. Having a sexual relationship with someone can seriously distort your perception of the relationship. There is nothing inherently wrong with premarital safe sex. But if you want to make sure that you can stay with the person you marry, whether or not your sex life is great, then wait.

Do you mean "inpotent" or "important"? This has a big factor in answering the question correctly.
If the first, then there won't be consummation of the sex act, but then why marry this person? They must be rich (and maybe ready for the death bed). I question your motives.
If the second, now we get into further qualifications. If both people are in the later stages of their lives, then why should anybody care but them?
If young people, then a lot depends on individual beliefs. Open communication is a nice quality to have. So is feelings for one another. There is no guarantee that the marriage will last, no matter what people feel at the beginning. There shouldn't be any guilt by either party (unless it adds to the eroticism). Forget that last part. Freudian slip.
And remember, if you're having sexual problems, don't go to a priest. They shouldn't have any knowledge of the matter. Find a prostitute.

I am old school but honestly believe that couples should live together for at least a year before marriage. If there is sex, so be it and I would be more than surprised if there was not. I think that it gives a wonderful opportunity for each partner to see the other in another light, to know their habits, both good and bad, to learn their temperament, both good and bad and to fully make up their mind if they want to continue for the next 49 years or more.........

NO. I think it is important to have sex for at least a year before getting married. Helps prevent bad marriages.

It really is up to the person or couple. It depends on your religious views and if you feel that it is wrong or right to have sex before marriage. As long as you protect yourself and really feel that it is something that you want to do and can deal with whatever happens after, you should be able to decide.

I think its imperative to have a sexual relationship before marriage. For Gods sake you try on shoes before you buy them, and you can just throw those away. Try doing that with a husband or a wife.

I think you should do it before for 2 reasons:

1) Imagine how much sooner you are going to get married because you are excited to finally have sex.

2) Who wants to be nervous all day on their wedding day?

If you are not devoted to the person, you should not have sex. If you are already devoted then you are already married. The question is, do you believe in the already married part. Define marriage.

It's important not to. For every person you have sex with, you have connected with their soul. Do you really want to connect with everyone or just your spouse. I was no virgin when I got married but life experience has taught me that I should have waited. God will teach you how to please your man and that man will learn what pleases you.
