Over the past few decades, there has been an ongoing battle between the LGBT community and the US Government to allow marriage in our community. Honestly, everyone has their own side and ethics about this matter. Do you think that it will ever become a more equal society in which the LGBT community will be able to get married? Do you think that our very conservitive government will ever give in and allow this equality to come about?

i'm a bisexual atheist and that i do not help gay marriage. ask your self why? this is because no remember how stupid, fascist, ignorant, hippocritical, or purely straight forward incorrect Christianity is often, each individual has a suitable to their opinion. even as maximum Christians would truly get their opinion from a fairytale, I even haven't any problem with that- once you're too stupid to imagine for your self then per chance this is extra efficient to be non secular. If gay marriage were legalized then churches would ought to settle for homosexuals, something that if Christians have a topic with will be breach of non secular freedom. i imagine that Atheists might want to get civil partnerships/unions as a replace- that way Christians can keep their homophobic theory of marriage, and everyone can get truly a similar aspect besides, this is purely calling it something else in order to no longer offend those who've a homophobic imaginary chum.

The way I see it the gov't would have to allow murder, child porn, rape, driving while drunk, robbery, stabbings, lying, stealing and every other thing that is against the rights we were given when America became America! We established this country with God's blessings and we have much more freedom than any one else. Someone asked today if America will fall as other empires have fallen. Yes, if we keep allowing things against what our fore fathers and God established. Read the story of Sodom and Gomorrah in Genisis, chapter 18 through chapter19, verse 30. Notice all of the warnings and all of the consquences of the cities and also to Lots wife when she was told to not look back!

I think some states in the US allows gay/lesbian marriages. Most cities in Europe have no problem against it either. And no, the conservative government will not allow it. The soonest u should be looking at for acceptance is if you guy in America ever elect a democratic government

I think as long as religion gets mixed into the definition of marriage. And as long as the people vote for leaders who support leaders whom can't seperate religion from governing. I think it will always be a battle in society. Unless, some real strong proof of biological genes were found. That may result in change.

When the American people elect an administration that accepts change as a necessary in life. Has anybody seen those IBM (I think it's IBM) commercials about how some businesses will be "extinct" because they haven't caught up with the times? Enough said.

If you allow that then you must allow marriages including adults and children, people and their animals, and people and objects. All of which have no business happening. Marriage has historically been husband and wife. Once you open the door to any other combination then it is that much easier to get it opened to all these other combinations. (Slippery slope).

Who knows? It's pretty sad that a word such as marriage is more protected than two human beings are in love.
